Grassroots events

Since 2006, we've been a bunch of CFL Fans that get together, have fun, and raise money to kick cancer's butt. We believe in leaving the money right where we raised it, so we can benefit local communities right across Canada.

For the last decade, our Grey Cup event has been our flagship, and our whole movement has grown beyond our wildest dreams. But for 20 years, we've been kicking cancer's butt one day at a time, with so many people contributing in so many ways.

THANK YOU to everyone who has helped make CFL Fans Fight Cancer what it is today.  Whether you gave five bucks or volunteered for a decade, we would not be here without you. This page is a list of many of our highlights over the years.

Note: This is not meant to be exhaustive... especially in the 2010's, we're definitely missing some things. Amounts or charities might be missing, and we're not always sure which pics are from which year. Feel free to email us at cflfansfightcancer@gmail.com if we missed anything, or if you have more details and pictures to share.

About CFL fans fight cancer

  • Facebook

  • Bluesky

CFL Fans Fight Cancer (or CFLFFC for short) is a grassroots movement that has supported local cancer charities across Canada since 2006. Each year, we pick a charity in the Grey Cup host city and dedicate the year's funds to them. We raised $22K in Regina, $41K in Hamilton and $75K in Vancouver. Let's make 2025 the year we raise $100,000!

Want to help? Email cflfansfightcancer@gmail.com or honestly, just do your own thing and submit funds via our Donate page. Folks have done everything from poker tourneys to dunk tanks to watch parties to head shaving. Be creative, and let us know how we can help!

Our biggest event is a Meet N Greet each Grey Cup Weekend.  However, we've grown into a nationwide grassroots movement with events and donations all year. All are welcome, anywhere, any time!

We are not a registered charity and we have no structure or administrative costs - just a bunch of people raising money to kick cancer's ass.
